All Ohio University faculty and staff are invited to stop by the Honors Collegium on the Baker University Center fourth floor on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a Faculty/Staff Appreciation Event hosted by the Office of Annual Giving. Coffee and donuts will be provided.
The open house event is a celebration of the success of last year’s The Promise Within: Faculty/Staff Campaign, which raised over $348,000 in support of students, faculty, programs, outreach and facilities.
“We want to celebrate our great results and thank all faculty and staff for their dedication to OHIO,” said Carlyn Runnels, assistant director of Annual Giving. “Come grab some coffee and donuts before you start your day, and let us thank you for all that you do for Ohio University!”
The Faculty/Staff Campaign is part of OHIO’s The Promise Lives Campaign, which reached its goal of $450 million in April—14 months ahead of the June 30, 2015 deadline.
A $2 million gift from John Kopchick, distinguished professor of molecular and cellular biology, and his wife Char Kopchick, assistant dean of students for campus involvement, tipped the Campaign over the goal. Their commitment supports the University's interdisciplinary programs in molecular and cellular biology and in translational biomedical sciences.
Having secured more than $464.4 million, The Promise Lives Campaign will continue through June 2015 and focus on increasing scholarship gifts.
