Section of University Terrace closed for repairs [MAP]

Motorists traveling on the Ohio University Athens Campus are advised to be aware of the closing of University Terrace from Race Street to Park Place.

The closure begins Monday, July 8 as crews perform structural repairs to the tunnel underneath the roadway. Work will begin at the south end of this portion of University Terrace and proceed northward to Park Place.

There will be no access to parking lots 2 and 6 during the repair process. Alternative handicap parking will be made available at bagged meters in the Guest/Visitor parking lot near Konneker Alumni Center. There is no charge to park at the bagged meters so long as a handicap parking permit is displayed and visible.

The intersection of Park Place and University Terrace will be required to close later in the month as the repairs progress.

All work is scheduled to be completed by August 20.

All Ohio University faculty, staff and students can arrange to be transported from other campus parking lots using CATCAB, the University shuttle service. New incoming students attending Bobcat Student Orientation, along with their parents, are welcome to use CATCAB as well.
