The Ohio University Alumni Association (OUAA) invites alumni and the Athens community to join them for an event that will be a “hole-in-one” for all. The “Play on the Green” Golf Outing, part of OUAA’s inagural On the Green Weekend May 29-June 1, is an opportunity for alums and community members to show off their golfing skills and win prizes.
The event takes place on May 31 at 2 p.m. at the Ohio University Golf Course and is hosted by OUAA’s Thomas Ewing Society. For a registration fee of $65, contestants get nine holes of golf, a cart, and can compete in three different contests: closest to the pin, longest drive and best team. Golfers can also purchase mulligans, kicks, throws, and skirts. Winners of each contest will be awarded with gift certificates to the OUAA Bobcat Store. Golfers who are able to score a hole in one will be awarded two season tickets to the upcoming Ohio Bobcat football season. Prizes will be awarded at a reception that follows the event. All proceeds from the event support the OUAA Legacy Scholarship.
Registration closes May 22. Visit www.ohio.edu/alumni/onthegreen for more information and to sign up. For questions, contact the Alumni Association at 740-593-4300.
