From staff reports
In anticipation of next year’s Homecoming festivities – scheduled for Oct. 6-11, 2014 – students and alumni voted on their favorite theme, and “Bobcat Family Reunion” prevailed.
After the theme was selected, the Ohio University Campus Involvement Center and Alumni Association challenged students to create a corresponding logo for next year’s Homecoming week. All Ohio University students had the opportunity to submit their most creative design to the Homecoming logo contest. With an appealing incorporation of a family tree and Bobcat paw prints, Rachel Keaveny’s design was chosen as the 2014 Ohio University Homecoming logo.
Keaveny is a senior studying Information Design. She utilizes her design skills as design editor for Thread magazine. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, she plans to head to Boston, Mass., after graduation to begin her internship with The Boston Globe. She aspires to work for a publication or a design agency in the near future.
