The Sugar Bush Foundation is accepting applications for a student board member


The Sugar Bush Foundation will accept one worthy student to the Sugar Bush Foundation Board as a non-voting board member come summer 2014. The Sugar Bush Foundation supports Ohio University in their work to improve the quality of life in Appalachian Ohio by encouraging civic engagement and by fostering sustainable environmental and socioeconomic development.

The student board member must have permanent residency in an Appalachian Ohio County and must have an interest in supporting the mission of the Sugar Bush Foundation. They may serve on the board for a total of two years and are expected to attend three Sugar Bush Foundation board meetings a year (summer, winter and fall). The nominated student will be able to participate in the meetings and provide a voice on sustainability issues facing Ohio University and Appalachian Ohio. ­

To apply, students must submit their application and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. These two items must be submitted by midnight on March 7, 2014. The application can be found on the Ohio University Office of Gift Planning website at http://www.ohio.edu/advancement/sugarbush/student.cfm.

The Ohio University Office of Gift Planning, as a function of The Ohio University Foundation, provides administrative support to the Sugar Bush Foundation and specializes in tax-efficient Life Income Gifts, Gift Annuities, Trusts and Estate Planning for OHIO Alumni and friends of the university.
