This year’s 2014 Ohio University School of Art + Design Faculty Exhibition presents original artwork by School of Art + Design faculty from a wide range of mediums including graphic design, painting, sculpture, prints, photography, drawing, ceramics, video, and installation art.
The biennial exhibition, held at the Ohio University Kennedy Museum of Art will be on view from Jan. 17 through March 16. The opening reception is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17.
Presenting the current work of 29 artists, this exhibition allows the School of Art + Design to display and celebrate the artistic research the faculty has been involved in. The artwork selected for the exhibition was chosen by each artist and represents their work from the last two years.
In the past year, the School of Art + Design faculty made a successful transition from quarters to semesters and implemented a new Foundation program and BFA degree in studio art. Collectively, the faculty also completed approximately 250 national and international professional activity accomplishments, including exhibitions, conference presentations, lectures, publications (books, articles, chapters), workshops, and artist residencies.
Faculty Noon Talks will be held at Kennedy Museum of Art on Jan. 23 and 30, Feb. 6 and 20 and March 13.
The exhibition opens Friday, Jan. 17 and closes March 16.
