From staff reports
Ohio University’s annual Sibs Weekend will be held February 7-9. In preparation for the weekend, two alumni chapters in Ohio have organized transportation for siblings to safely travel to Athens.
Chapters in Akron and Cleveland will again sponsor charter buses for the weekend. Round trip tickets cost $75 and each bus will be chaperoned by chapter volunteers. Reservations can be made by visiting ohioalumni.org/sibs and clicking on the appropriate city tab.
The Ohio University Women’s Club of Greater Cleveland has been operating for 75 years and has been collaborating on Sibs Weekend since 1969. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to each chapter in order to fund scholarships for local area students.
Aside from Akron and Cleveland’s chartered buses, Cincinnati and Columbus residents are encouraged to use the GoBus. GoBus is a deluxe motor coach that connects Athens and neighboring cities to Columbus and Cincinnati. Round trip tickets cost $20. Reservations can be made by calling 888-95-GOBUS or by visiting www.RideGoBus.com. The Ohio University Alumni Association assumes no responsibility for the siblings or their luggage while they are traveling.
Be sure to register early. For more information on transportation options, visit ohioalumni.org/sibs.
