From staff reports
On Monday, Sept. 17, the Ohio University Office of Education Abroad will host its annual Study Abroad Fair. The fair will take place in Baker Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public and provides attendees with convenient access to representatives from a large variety of study abroad programs. T-shirts will also be given away throughout the day to several lucky visitors.
"The study abroad fair is the best opportunity we offer to see a broad array of program offerings, to get that big picture," said Catherine Marshall, director of Office of Education Abroad.
The fair gives students a chance to speak with program directors and past participants as well as participate in on-the-spot advising with trained study abroad advisers. Information about financial aid, scholarships, and passports will also be available.
With hundreds of programs in more than 40 countries, attendees will learn about how they can study, teach, work, volunteer and intern abroad. Many of Ohio University's 60+ programs will be represented at the fair, as well as programs offered by OHIO affiliates and third-party providers.
"The earlier you plan, the more likely you are to find that perfect fit," Marshall said.
