The Ohio Bobcats defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions, 24-14, on Saturday in a nationally televised football game.
The Bobcats trailed 14-3 at halftime, but scored the final 21 points to secure the win.
Junior quarterback Tyler Tettleton completed 31 of 41 pass attempts for 324 yards and two touchdowns. Junior running back Beau Blankenship ran 31 times for 111 yards and caught seven passes for 72 yards.
The Bobcats took their first lead of the game with 3:49 remaining in the third quarter, when Tettleton scored on a 1-yard run. They secured the win when wide receiver Donte Foster caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Tettleton to give the Bobcats a 24-14 lead with 2:55 remaining in the game.
It was the Bobcats first-ever win over Penn State and gave them seven wins in their last eight games dating back to last season.
The Bobcats will play at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, against New Mexico State in Peden Stadium.
