From staff reports
The Ohio University Kennedy Art Museum will host Art Encounters: Patterns on Tooling Foil at 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. The workshop is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Participants will learn the art of working with tooling foil while making patterns inspired by the Multi-pattern Navajo Weavings and Navajo Germantown Samplers exhibits on display in the museum.
The children will tour the Kennedy Museum's galleries before making impressions into aluminum and applying color to its silvery surface in the classroom. Each participant will complete an original, luminous and dynamic work of art.
The deadline to register is Jan. 22 and Elizabeth Ferrill will be the instructor. To register, click here.
