In April 2013, President Emeritus Robert Glidden returned to Ohio University as a guest professor and conductor with the School of Music.
Glidden served as OHIO's 19th president from 1994 to 2004. Under his direction, the University saw a number of capital improvements, including the construction of Emerti Park and Walter Hall. He also championed university outreach to the Appalachian region. Glidden currently lives in Lexington, Virginia, where he is active in community work and his church.
