Open forums announced for government relations finalists

Forums are April 4-5 in Baker University Center

The search committee for the position of director of government relations at Ohio University has completed the initial round of candidate interviews and has scheduled open forums for two finalists.

Eric Burchard, who is serving as interim director of government relations, and Jane Harf, director of University Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio, will discuss their qualifications for the position and answer questions from the audience during the open forums.

The successful candidate will work with state and national governments on behalf of the interests of Ohio University. Those duties involve fostering relationships and partnerships with state and federal government officials and securing federal and state funding vital to supporting the university's scholarship, innovation, and creative activity.

Former Director of Government Relations Teri Geiger left the university in December to work for U.S. Senator Rob Portman.
