The Ohio University quarterly media report from University Communications and Marketing (UCM) is now available.
The report, which quantifies and analyzes mentions of OHIO in all media outlets during fall quarter 2010, holds some landmark numbers.
According to it, “During the fall quarter, Ohio University received 2,528 media placements. Of that number, 1,527 were balanced in tone, 755 were positive and 246 were negative.”
The numbers represent a 30 percent increase in media placements for Ohio University compared to fall quarter 2009.
The two-page report provides charts, data and some headline highlights from the year. Ohio University was frequently seen in magazines, on television, and online last quarter.

The report also charts the growth of the University’s social networking profiles. The University’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages all experienced an increase in participants. The University’s YouTube account saw a 40 percent increase in the views of UCM-produced video content.
