Creative Writing Program welcomes fiction writer for reading


The Creative Writing Program within the Department of English will present a reading by visiting fiction writer Rob Roberge at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at Galbreath Chapel with a reception following. The event is free and open to the public.

Roberge is the author of the collection of short stories “Working Backwards From the Worst Moment of My Life” and novels “More Than They Could Chew” and “Drive.”

He teaches writing at the Antioch University Los Angeles. Roberge received an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California Riverside’s Palm Desert Graduate Center and the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, where he received the Outstanding Instructor Award for Creative Writing in 2003. He plays guitar and sings with several LA bands, including punk pioneers, The Urinals.
