Branding OHIO: A tagline is a powerful sound bite


A tagline should be distinctive and memorable, reflecting the tone and tenor of your brand and what you offer constituents.

Ohio University’s tagline  – The best student-centered learning experience in America – embodies our mission and vision. As a student-centered University, all of our efforts should be focused on ensuring we offer the very best learning experience to help our students fulfill their promise.

Is Ohio University the best?


The student-centered learning experience at Ohio University isn’t about one particular academic program being ranked highly, although there are many nationally ranked programs among the 250 undergraduate majors available or a student organization, of which there are more than 350 registered. The Ohio University learning experience is a culmination of our quest to create limitless opportunities for students and help them fulfill their promise. This experience is found in:

  • Accessible and engaging opportunities in our learning communities, residential life, and leadership development through involvement in student organizations
