Comedian, satirist Mo Rocca to perform on Wednesday

Comedic personality Mo Rocca will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.

Rocca is best known for his off-beat news reports and comedic satires of the political and entertainment worlds.

Currently a correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning News with Charles Osgood, Rocca is also a panelist on NPR’s hit weekly quiz show “Wait, Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!” and the host of The Cooking Channel’s upcoming show “Foodography.”

Rocca has also been a commentator on VH1’s “Best Week Ever” and “I Love the ‘80s/’90s.” He also spent four seasons as a correspondent on the Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart and “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. He began his career in TV as a writer and producer for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning PBS children’s series “Wishbone,” and went on to write and produce other kids’ series.

Rocca’s performance is part of the Ohio University Performing Art Series. Tickets start at $12. To order, call 740-593-1780 or visit: www.ohio.edu/performingarts.
