Photo scavenger hunt educates about campuses and comes with prizes

University Communications and Marketing (UCM) has extended the deadline for its fall photo scavenger hunt. The new deadline is noon on Monday, Sept. 20.

A list of OHIO and Athens landmarks has been posted online for all students enrolled at the University who are interested in participating in the contest. A separate list of landmarks is available for students on OHIO's five regional campuses and those who attend the University online through Outreach.

Landmarks include, but are not limited to, Latitude 39 Casual Dining, Follett’s University Bookstore, College Bookstore and the Howard Hall site. The regional and distance learning list includes landmarks such as “the best place on campus for a physical workout,” “your bookstore” or “the best place to spend time with friends.”

All participants are strongly encouraged to take their pictures inside of the venues, but no purchase is required.

A full list of contest guidelines can be found here. Contest participants must be currently enrolled in OHIO, whether on the main campus, a regional campus or through Outreach.

Interested students should read the complete contest guidelines, which are available at www.ohio.edu/ucm/promotions/welcome-fall2010.cfm

There are some great OHIO prizes on the line for first-year students and upperclassmen, so on your mark, get set, go snap some shots!
