The Ohio University Foundation has closed its 2009/2010 fiscal year books.  The foundation has raised $51,817,000 against their FY 2010 goal of $22 million. This means that they have reached 236 percent of the foundation’s annual goal.

The Ohio University Foundation expressed their gratitude to the entire university community in their June fundraising report.

“Thank you to each of you. Together your support in time, talent, and treasure helps ensure that Ohio University will continue to be Ohio’s ‘first and finest.’”

Highlights for June include the following major gifts:

• $260,000 to support the Ohio University Bobcat Club

• $250,000 to support Appalachian Scholarships

• $25,000 to support the Schey Sales Center in the College of Business

• $25,000 to support the Patton College of Education

• $25,000 to support the College of Osteopathic Medicine

• $15,000 to support Kids on Campus at the College of Health Sciences and Professions

• $10,000 to support the Department of History in the College of Arts & Sciences

• $10,000 to support Women’s Volleyball in Intercollegiate Athletics

• Proposals delivered in fiscal year 2010 totaled $62.3 million
