Ohio University will host one-hour open forums for the four finalists for the position of director of university judiciaries.
The successful candidate will replace Jim Sand, who recently accepted a position in Residential Housing on campus.
General duties of the position include overseeing and administering all aspects of the student conduct system, providing a developmental and educational context for student behavior both on and off campus, and representing the university and office to external constituencies and stakeholders.
During the forums, the university community can ask questions and learn more about the finalists. Candidate resumes and evaluation forms will be available at the forums.
The finalists and their open forum are:
• Lisa Smith, Ph.D., is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, in Baker University Center 231. Smith has served as director of residence life and housing at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, since 2000.
• Angela D. Davis, M.Ed., is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, in Baker University Center 231. Davis has served as associate director in Ohio University Event Services since 2006 and has worked as a university hearing board chairperson in University Judiciaries since 2008.
• Christopher J. Harris, J.D., is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, in Baker University Center 231. Harris has served as assistant director in the Pennsylvania State University Office of Judicial Affairs since 2005.
• Patience L. Bartunek, M.Ed., is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, in Baker University Center 231. Bartunek has served as assistant dean of student conduct at Arkansas State University since 2006.
