Candidates for Vice President for Finance and Administration to visit Athens campus

Open forums will be held for campus community to meet, speak with candidates

Two finalists for the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration will visit the Ohio University Athens campus during the coming weeks, beginning May 26.

The finalists were selected by a university-wide search committee chaired by Executive Vice President and Provost Pam Benoit. Stephen T. Golding is one of the two finalists.

Links to Golding’s curriculum vitae and campus visit itinerary can be found on the Office of the President’s website. Golding is the Managing Partner of the 1782 Group, LLP and the Senior Consultant to the President, Cornell University. His itinerary can be found here.

Golding will visit the Athens campus on Wednesday, May 26, and Thursday, May 27. Members of the university community are encouraged to attend an open forum with Mr. Golding from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, in Bentley Hall room 236.
The schedule for the other candidate’s visit is not yet finalized.

During their visits, each finalist will meet with university constituent groups, executive staff members, academic leaders and community members. In addition, each candidate will take part in an hour-long open forum that will include a question-and-answer period.

All finalists’ open forums will be webcast at: http://streaming.cns.ohiou.edu/president/ to provide access to anyone who is unable to attend in person.

The new vice president for finance and administration will oversee finance, budget planning and analysis, shared services, the controller, culinary and dining operations, the airport, printing and graphics services, facilities, safety and risk management and human resources.

The successful candidate will replace former Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration William Decatur, who left the university in January to become executive vice president for the Rhode Island School of Design. Mike Angelini has served as interim senior vice president for finance and administration since January 6, 2010.
