The OHIO football team will begin spring practices on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Bobcats will take part in 12 practices and two scrimmages in preparation for the 2012 season. Spring practice will conclude at 2 p.m. April 21 with the annual Green and White game at Peden Stadium.

Mechanical engineering alumnus Donald Voelker, a Cleveland native, passed away on Monday. Voelker served for two years in the United States Navy before attending Ohio University, graduating in 1952.

Senior offensive tackle Joe Flading has been named honorable mention All-America by SI.com. He was the only offensive lineman in the Mid-American Conference to earn postseason All-American honors from SI.com.
