June graduates have chance to win prizes in Twitter challenge
As the commencement countdown continues, Ohio University is issuing a Twitter challenge just for June graduates! By answering a series of questions, graduates will be eligible to win prizes. Participants must stay within Twitter's 140-character limit and use the assigned hashtag.
This week is the grand prize challenge with a prize package valued at $200, so it's a little more challenging. As graduates, you are becoming OHIO alumni, so your task is to visit the Alumni Association website. Locate the alumni chapter that is closest to your hometown or your post-graduate location and scope out some ways that you can stay involved with OHIO and its international network of alumni. Then share that info with @ohiou. Give at least one alumni chapter and at least one way that you plan to stay involved with OHIO.
Use the website for inspiration to find ways to stay connected that aren't expensive. Be specific: if you plan to attend an event, give its name and where it will be held. For example, here's a representative tweet: "Athens chapter; I'll be at the SE Ohio barbecue in Athens. #OHIOalum"
Tweet your responses between noon and 5 p.m. Friday, June 4, using the hashtag #OHIOalum. Entries also will be accepted via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember, this is for June graduates only (bachelor's, master's, Ph.D. or D.O.).
Remember, each entrant can submit multiple responses but each tweet or e-mail must be unique. The randomly selected winner will be announced by noon on Monday, June 7.
Please note: We respect student privacy but in order for @ohiou to see all responses tweets can not be protected.
