General Accounting and Bookkeeping Supervisor
Supervises employees who post and balance books of account, such as cashbook, general journal, sales book, purchase register, and general and subsidiary ledgers. Supervises the preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss statements, coding of invoices and vouchers with proper account distribution, compilation of data for preparation of regularly scheduled and special accounting reports, analyses and statements.Credit and Collection Supervisor
Supervises the investigation and review of credit risks involving customers and suppliers. Evaluates credit history and approves or disapproves extensions of credit. Supervises delinquent account collection and the mailing of follow-up letters when statements do not bring a response. Arranges terms of payment and follow-up collection of accounts. Makes adjustments to customer claims where necessary. Refers certain accounts to a collection agency or recommends legal action. Prepares reports on status of credits and collections.
Personnel Records Supervisor
Supervises the maintenance of employment records and the processing of all changes in personnel status. Coordinates the preparation and release of reports, statistical summaries and reference information from the records of active and terminated employees.
Data Entry Supervisor
Supervises the operation of key entry devices to record a variety of alpha/numeric data onto various storage media.
Data Control Supervisor
Supervises the maintenance of records or source documents for data input. Ensures the accuracy and appropriateness of both input and output data by visual examination and/or balances to control figures and ensure satisfactory condition of data input and output. Provides for distribution of reports after preparation.
Clerical Supervisor
Supervises a combination of clerical, word processing and related office functions such as posting data to various records and forms, maintaining charts, gathering data from various sources, preparing reports, and answering and filing correspondence.
Building/Facilities Supervisor
Supervises assigned staff in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Schedules maintenance and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. Supervises janitorial services and grounds maintenance such as landscaping, lawn care and snow removal.
Drafting Supervisor
Supervises drafters, who formalize designs (sketches and/or specifications) into detailed drawings and working plans using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software and related computer assisted equipment. Ensures the accuracy of these renderings and revisions of existing plans for conformity to engineering changes.
Generic Design and Drafting Supervisor Position

Generic Research and Development Supervisor Position

Yard Labor/Janitorial Supervisor
Supervises miscellaneous manual labor functions in an industrial or commercial establishment, such as sweeping and cleaning floors and work areas, picking up papers and refuse from grounds, assisting in the handling of heavy materials, making minor repairs, mowing lawns, and shoveling snow. Supervises general janitorial duties in an office, such as cleaning, dusting, washing windows, and moving and polishing furniture and equipment.
General Maintenance and Construction Supervisor
Supervises employees who maintain, repair and service plant equipment, buildings and facilities. Works on projects involving the construction of new buildings and facilities and the alteration or modification of existing ones.
Inventory Control Supervisor
Controls amount of material on hand by supervising perpetual inventory. Supervises employees who take periodic physical inventory and order items that have become depleted. Furnishes reports as needed to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future production or use. Operates computer terminal and other computer-related equipment relevant to job duties.
Power House/Boiler House Supervisor
Supervises the operation and maintenance of stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam engines, air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, pumps, and ventilating and refrigeration equipment. Supervises adjustments and minor repairs necessary to ensure efficient performance. Supervises employees who tend boilers supplying steam for heating, processing or power generation, ensure the maintenance of specified pressures and temperatures, and make minor repairs.
Garage Supervisor
Supervises employees who maintain, repair and service all vehicles and equipment. Assigns vehicles to authorized personnel and maintains records of use, mileage, repairs and service.
Food Service Supervisor
Responsible for the supervision of food service staff for organizational functions and the cafeteria. Assures compliance with all health codes and requirements, contacts assigned vendors to order food, calculates cost per item and assists the Manager in overall food service planning such as schedules and staffing requirements.
