Photocopy Machine Operator
Operates a photocopy machine to complete assignments ranging from the production of single color forms, reading material and other documents to those requiring the merge of covers, text, indices and related items in single or multi-color. May perform all phases of equipment set-up, operation and routine maintenance. Maintains equipment and supplies. Records Clerk
Conducts searches of company records for requested information. Verifies the acceptability of documents stored for microfilming. Controls inventory of records stored and may have responsibility for all phases of destruction and/or disposition of records.
Office Services Assistant
Provides general facilities administration support which may include responding to call for facility repair, the purchase of office supplies including stationery, business cards, name plates, handling special mail requests, printing services, petty cash account, and facility security functions. May assist with fixed asset inventories.
Administrative Assistant
Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. May assist in budget preparation and control activities. May assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations. May screen and interview job applicants and orient new employees. NOTE: This is not a secretarial position.
Purchasing Clerk
Compiles and maintains information and records to prepare purchase orders. Edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders. Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications. Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories and deliveries. Performs related clerical duties. May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations, and follow up on outstanding purchase orders. Applies standard formulas to calculate extensions and discount applications. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.
Accounting Clerk
Performs a variety of routine and some nonroutine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.
Payroll Clerk
Inputs data from time sheets, production records, or individual time cards to computerized payroll system, including employee name, days worked, overtime earnings if any, date, gross pay, deductions, required withholdings and net earnings. May use appropriate software packages to compute withholdings and deductions where multi-state tax laws are involved as well as payments on sales draws and commissions.
Credit and Collection Clerk
Performs a wide variety of credit and collection functions. Reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts. Obtains required information from credit organizations, banks and loan associations. Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files. Sends follow-up letters. Accepts payment on certain accounts. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.
Human Resources Assistant
Provides clerical/administrative support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruitment and staffing, personnel records, employee or labor relations, compensation, benefits, training and/or equal opportunity/ affirmative Processes a variety of applications, employment, enrollment, pay change, informational and other confidential forms. May conduct and summarize internal and external surveys to gather information for policy development and planning. Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications. May perform duties involving employee communications, such as pre-employment screening, responding to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures, identifying potential issues and grievances, etc. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.
Clerk
Performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This includes clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems.
Secretary
Performs secretarial duties that may require considerable experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and practices. May prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc. May compose routine correspondence and memoranda. Screens telephone calls and receives and directs visitors; and may resolve routine inquiries. May schedule and maintain calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries and coordinates related arrangements. May prepare and distribute minutes of meetings. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.
Data Entry Operator
Operates a data entry device to key and/or verify a variety of standard and/or complex coded or uncoded business and statistical source data into a computer.
Word Processing Operator
Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent to prepare standard and/or complex documents from various sources of written or dictated input which may include page layouts and difficult charts. Enters corrections and revisions, and proofreads material for accuracy and completeness. Applies knowledge of department terminology and organization practices.
Data Control Clerk
Reviews source documents for data input. Checks accuracy and relevance of input and output data by visual examination, correcting codes and batching for computer processing. Verifies output against control totals, reviews format and accuracy of printouts and distributes information to appropriate departments.
Clerk-Typist
Performs routine but varied clerical work in conjunction with typing duties, such as some or all of the following: types and files reports, business correspondence, forms, and other documents; posts information to records; sorts and distributes mail; and answers telephones.
Receptionist
Greets, identifies and directs visitors. Arranges for escort as appropriate. Maintains visitor records, and performs incidental typing and clerical work as assigned.
