Performance Management Update A diagram of the performance management cycle is available in Adobe format at the following link: Classified and IT Performance Management Cycle (Adobe) At this time, Classified and IT supervisors should be completing Mid-Year Reviews with their employees. These reviews should be completed no later than the end of February. Coaching sessions should continue as needed and as time permits through March. Administrative employees should have their annual performance evaluation by March 15, the non-renewal deadline date according to Policy 40.106 Administrative Appointments. If an administrative employee does not receive an annual performance evaluation by March 15 in any given year, the employee may assume that his/her performance was satisfactory. Beginning in April, supervisors should start preparations for Year-End Reviews with their employees and employees should be completing the Employee Self-Evaluation. Employees who mutually agreed with their supervisors should also complete the Supervisor Feedback form. Year-End Reviews may be conducted through the end of May. July 1, 2003 will begin the next performance one year review cycle. This will be the first review cycle tied to merit pay for classified employees, with a pay out effective July 1, 2004. University Human Resources will be conducting information sessions on the Merit Pay Plan beginning in March.
