PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT PROJECT

 

Performance Management Program Statement

Performance management is a collaborative initiative designed to advance the university's mission by aligning individual contributions with university goals.

 

We intend to establish a system that is equitable and consistent, easy to understand, and encourages people to develop and improve performance.

 

Performance management is the cycle of goal setting, self-evaluation, on-going coaching and feedback, and periodic formal performance review that guides employees' efforts.  It provides employees and supervisors with clear communication about expectations, progress toward expectations, and sound information to guide pay and career advancement decisions.  Ultimately, it will increase university effectiveness through higher employee performance.

 

The performance management program is supported by and reflects the university's commitment to its stated values including, cooperation and collaboration, civility, responsibility and shared accountability.
