Commencement Checklist for Friends and Family
- Are your student’s bills paid? Check out the Bursar’s office website for more details www.ohio.edu/bursar
- For all Commencement information (date, time, location, parking), visit us at www.ohio.edu/commencement
- Be sure your student ordered their cap and gown so they can walk in the Commencement Ceremony. The last day to order is April 22, 2008.
- The Ohio University Graduation Fair is Wednesday, April 16th in the Grand Ballroom of Baker University Center from 9am-4pm. Make sure your student attends this one-stop shop resource fair! They can also order Ohio University graduation announcements here!
- There aren’t tickets for Commencement, so invite your friends and family members! Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Remind your student to turn off all utilities before moving out of their residence.
- Does your student have insurance lined up once they graduate?
- Your son/daughter is about to be an Alum of Ohio University! Visit the Alumni Association today to see what this means! http://www.ohioalumni.org/
- Hotels in the Athens area are filling up fast! Make your reservations soon! Don’t forget there are rooms available in Nelsonville, Burr Oak, and Hocking Hills.
- During graduation, most restaurants require a reservation. The commencement numbers available, so make your reservations today!

Cap and Gown Information
For spring quarter graduates, please order your cap and gown during the graduation application process.
For all other 2007-2008 graduates (i.e summer, fall, and winter applicants), please click here to order your cap and gown.
Pick up of all cap and gowns will take place at Baker University Center, 5th Floor unless otherwise indicated (i.e. Regional Campus students).
