ABSTRACT: Dr.Aronow will talk about new ways to visualize and understand health and disease by looking through the lens of the genome and how doing this lets you predict drugs or environmental factors that could help to improve health and cure or protect against the occurrence or worsening of diseases. Dr.Aronow will cover little stories from some really different types of diseases: cancer, sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, and allergic disorders like asthma and inflammatory bowel diseases. Even though they all look very different, when you use the genome to help understand them, you can use the same methods and total knowledge matrix to help you solve them.
