Welcome to the School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences

The School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences houses the Physical Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders programs. Both are nationally ranked and accredited in their respective fields and have significant and valued history at OHIO.
The Division of Physical Therapy is dedicated to excellence and leadership in preparing future physical therapists with the knowledge, behavior, and skills required to function within the diverse roles of the contemporary health care environment. Our students are prepared to assume leadership roles as physical therapy professionals through autonomous and evidence-based practice, altruism, integrity and ethical conduct, and social and professional responsibility.
The Gourman Report, which provides ratings of undergraduate programs, consistently ranks OHIO’s Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) program as one of the top programs in the country, and above all of the 11 other programs in Ohio. The curriculum integrates a sequence of arts and sciences coursework with studies on human communication processes, giving students a full, well-rounded education.
