Nutrition Overview
Graduates of the Nutrition and Applied Nutrition program explore an array of challenging and growing career paths.
The Dietetics concentration in Applied Nutrition prepares students to become registered dietitians who provide both preventative nutritional care and medical nutrition therapy in the acute care setting, extended facility, wellness and sport arena or school and community setting.
The Culinary Nutrition concentration in Applied Nutrition prepares students in culinary arts, nutrition and food science to improve the quality and healthfulness of our food.  Job opportunities for graduates abound, from major food companies to institutions to small boutique spas.
Graduates from the Environmental Nutrition concentration in Applied Nutrition can pursue a broad array of job opportunities in wellness, sustainability, or public policy that enhance food security, impact food policy, and strengthen sustainability efforts in their communities and around the world.
Students completing the Nutrition degree, our pre-professional degree, are well prepared to pursue advanced health-related training in medical, physician’s assistant, physical therapy, and pharmacy school.
