Athletic Training
About Our Programs
Athletic trainers may be best known for providing health care to athletes, but they can also be found in orthopedic clinics, industrial settings, the military, NASA, the performing arts, hospitals and physicians’ offices. The profession specializes in the clinical diagnosis, immediate management, treatment and rehabilitation of acute, chronic or congenital musculoskeletal conditions. Ohio University has both an undergraduate program and graduate program in the field, both of which began in 1972.
