Ph.D. student Grady Carlson, other young scientists meet Nobel Laureates
Grady Carlson was among 600 young scientists from 80 nations who gathered with 37 Nobel Laureates in Germany for the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting.
Carlson, a Ph.D. student who conducts cancer research in the laboratory of Monica Burdick, is a graduate of the chemical engineering bachelor's program, as well as the master's program in biomedical engineering. In earning those degrees, he utilized the 4-1 option, which allowed him to begin his master's study while still an undergraduate.
Burdick, associate professor of chemical engineering, has been Carlson's advisor since he was an undergraduate.
