Meeting/Event Facilities
The following spaces are available for reservation at Baker University Center:
  • The table that follows lists each conference room along with the capacity of the space for the set up type.

  • “Tech” indicates that the space has video/audio projection equipment built-in.

  • Catering Services are available in all spaces.

  • Additional audio-visual resources are available in all spaces.

  • All spaces have Ethernet network connections. (Space reservation does not guarantee access to the University’s network. Users must be authorized separate from space reservation process. All University employees and registered students are authorized).
“Conference” setup is chairs around a conference table.
“Classroom” setup is rows of tables with chairs facing front.
“Theater” setup is rows of chairs only facing front.
“Banquet” setup is chairs around tables allowing meal service.

Sign Space and Promotions for Events in Baker Center

Billiards Area Reservations
The billiards area includes 6 billiards tables, 2 ping pong tables, and 1 foosball table as well as the adjacent lounge.
  • Registered student organizations may reserve the billiards area for the purposes of social events, recruitment efforts, and fundraisers free of charge.
  • University departments, community groups, and individual parties may reserve the billiards area at a rate $50 per hour.
  • The billiards area is available for group reservations seven days per week. All group reservations must conclude by 9:00pm.
  • Billiards Use Policy applies

To reserve space for a meeting or other event, please visit Baker University Center Reservations in Room 347 Baker University Center, or contact them by phone at 740-593-4021.
 
Planning for a Major Event
For assistance in planning an event that will involve more that one space, more than one day, sophisticated production, will attract a large crowd or will otherwise be out of the ordinary, contact Reservations Coordinator Jennifer Coen, Baker 347, (740) 593-4021. Ms. Coen will be happy to arrange a time to meet with you to plan all aspects of your event to insure that it meets your expectation.

Outdoor space is available for use in accordance with University Policy #24.016 “Use of Outdoor Space on the Athens Campus.”
