First Floor
Aminah Robinson Art Installation
Scenes from Ohio artist Aminah Robinson’s life and times in Poindexter Village are permanently laid in the atrium floor.

Billiards Lounge
This multipurpose lounge overlooks the pond on the east side of the building, and has outdoor seating as well. It will feature free billiards for students, and will be a great place to read, study or hang out. 

Catering Office (Room 125)
This office will serve those needing to arrange catering services in the building or elsewhere on campus.
 
Computer Lab
This full service computer lab will be operated by Academic Technology, feature both Macs and PCs.

West 82 (Food Court)
The food court offers a casually-hip fresh food quick-stop with seven unique food concepts in one great space that will feature plenty of outdoor seating:
  • Verde Blanco: Tex-Mex fare featuring giant burritos made to your taste
  • The Brick Oven: Custom pizzas in a hearth oven and other Italian dishes
  • McGuffey’s Grill: Build your own off-the-grill classics
  • Jade: Featuring Asian Pho Bowls and Pad Thai specials
  • The Ivy Deli: Classic deli sandwiches with gourmet cheeses
  • The College Greens: Four soups daily, sushi, customized salads and more
  • The Fast Lane: Ready-to-go meals, fresh baked goods, coffee, smoothies,
Information Desk
In the center of the atrium on the first floor, the desk is open whenever the building is open and is a place to ask questions or get directions related to the building or Ohio University.

Latitude 39 Restaurant
Latitude 39, Ohio University’s fine dining restaurant, features irresistible choices for lunch and dinner, served amidst striking views of campus which rests on the 39th parallel. 

Maggi Davis Dining Room (Room 120)
Named for former Ohio University luminary, this is a semi-private dining room adjacent to the Food Court where faculty and others can enjoy a quiet meal from the Food Court.
Second Floor
Conference Rooms
There are 11 fully-equipped spaces that will accommodate groups up to 100 and they are available in conference, meeting and theater seating formats.

Multipurpose Room
With a hardwood floor and able to be divided in half, this 3,000 square foot space can be used for everything from dances and banquets to meetings and performances.

Theater
This general purpose theater has 240 seats and high-end audio-visual capabilities.  It will be most suitable for films, speakers, panel discussions, formal presentations, as well as hosting a comedian or a concert.  The theater is the home of Office of Admissions Information Sessions for prospective students and their families.

Multicultural Center
The former but expanded Lindley Cultural Center, it will feature an art gallery, a multipurpose room, a computer lab and resource library, and will house the Office of Multicultural Programs.

Trisolini Gallery
A program of the School of Art, the gallery will feature regular shows of student, faculty and professional artists.

Bobcat Essentials
Bobcat Essentials provides a wide variety of must-haves for every OHIO student.  Located near The Front Room Coffeehouse, it is a convenient shopping destination for all members of the university community.  

Grand Ballroom
The largest space of its kind, the Grand Ballroom will accommodate groups up to 1000 theater style with banquet seating for up to 500.  It features ample pre-function space and a balcony overlooking campus to the south.

Front Room Coffeehouse
A campus classic, The Front Room Coffeehouse is a "home away from home" for students and faculty, serving an array of gourmet coffees along with daily selections of chef-prepared hot sandwiches, soups, and baked goods.   Live music, comedy and other events, great food and coffee, stimulating conversation, and sprawling views of Emeriti Park and College Green make The Front Room a new twist on an old favorite.

Honors Collegium
A quiet lounge off the College Green entrance to the building, this space honors academic achievement and scholastic excellence at Ohio University.

Information Desk
At the left of the atrium as you enter on the College Green entrance on the fourth floor, the desk is open whenever the building is open and is a place to ask questions or get directions related to the building or Ohio University.

Allen Student Help Center
The Student Help Center will help students find information, get a referral or solve a problem.  It is a program of University College and Student Affairs.

US Postal Service
Mail a package, get a stamp, or make a copy.

Women’s Center
The Ohio University Women’s Center is a focal point for education, awareness and advocacy about women, gender and diversity among faculty, staff and students at Ohio University and beyond. It offers resources and programs that encourage partnerships, research, collaboration, leadership and mentoring related to women, gender and diversity.
Fifth Floor

1804 Lounge
A long-time favorite in the original Baker University Center, this formal lounge is perfect for quiet study, receptions and intimate formal gatherings.

Career Center
This state-of-the-art Career Center will feature a training room, computer resource lab, and interview rooms to serve visiting employers.  It will house the administrative offices of the Office of Career Services.
Amenities

These amenities are available in or around the building:

ATM
This services is provided by the Ohio University Credit Union.  There is a machine on the fourth floor adjacent to the entrance and on the first floor just past the escalator on the right.

Elevator from Parking Garage to first floor
This elevator serves only from the parking garage to first floor and back.  Once on the first floor, walk further into the building to the other elevator or use the escalator.

Escalators from first through fourth floors
The escalators move from first through fourth floors only. To get to the fifth floor, take the stairs at the entrance or the elevator.

Elevator from floors 1 through 5
The main elevator is in the middle of the atrium and travels from floors one through five. To get to the garage, you need to walk toward the first floor entrance to the garage elevator.

Lounges and casual study space
There are lounges and study space throughout the building. Priority use on the third floor is for activities associated with the Leadership Center.

Generally available at each entrances.

Outdoor seating (four locations)
You can sit outside the Front Room Coffeehouse on the Park Place side or on the patio overlooking the Emeriti Park. Or you can sit outside the Billiards Lounge on the first floor, also overlooking Emeriti Park, or outside the Food Court facing Oxbow Trail.

Parking
The surface lots adjacent to the Center are reserved for faculty and staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please use the Parking Garage or see the Parking Services web site for details on alternative parking options.

Parking garage
The parking garage is under the surface lot and the Center itself.  Cost is $.50-per-hour for all.  There are 50 reserved spaces at $50 per month with details available through Parking Services.

Public copiers
There are two public copiers in the building.  The first is located in the lobby of the US Postal Services operation on the fourth floor, and the second is in the atrium (adjacent to the Billiards Lounge) on the first floor. These are coin-operated and managed by Printing Services.

Public printers
University account holder can use their print allowance to print to public computer laser printers in the building.  One is located on first floor adjacent to the Information Desk and a second is on the third floor in the atrium adjacent to Student Senate.  These are managed by Information Technology.

Recycling
There are recycling containers throughout the Center, and all campus recycling is managed by Recycling & Refuse.

Student Organization Table Space
Registered student organizations and University departments can reserve a table to distribute information or otherwise communicate with visitors of the Center.  To make a reservation, contact Baker Center Reservations, 740.593.4020, Baker 347.

Television
There is a public television in the atrium lounge on the first floor, behind the Information Desk.

Wireless access
University account holders can access a wireless Internet connection throughout the building.  This service is managed by Information Technology.
