Immigration Regulations, Legal Issues, and Visa Requirements
Before you jet off to an overseas location to look for employment, it is advisable that you inform yourself about the immigration regulations and visa requirements for lawfully residing and working in your country of choice. It is crucial that you have a clear understanding of these legal issues so that you will not incur unnecessary difficulties and barriers in the process of transitioning to an new cultural environment.
It's not like taking a vacation...
In some cases, employers may handle these issues for you, but do not assume that just because you were able to take a vacation in a particular country with only your passport in-hand that you will be able to do the same when you are relocating to another country. Just as the U.S. requires non-immigrant and immigrant workers to maintain certain Visa status and other governmental paperwork, so do many other countries!
