Personal Statement Reviews
Working on a personal statement for graduate or professional school? The Career & Leadership Development Center career coaches are more than happy to review your statement and provide you with feedback on how to improve.
Please refer to the following guidelines:
- Statements can be dropped off in person at The Career & Leadership Development Center and if needed, an appointment will be scheduled with a career coach at this time. If you are unable to come in to the office, please call us at 740-593-2909 for e-mail submission instructions.
- Allow 48 hours turn-around time for feedback or if you are scheduled to meet with a career coach, your statement must be turned in to The Career & Leadership Development Center 48 hours before your appointment.
- In order to be reviewed, personal statements must be nearing a final draft format. Career coaches can meet with students to discuss how to write a personal statement and what it should include, but statements should be in a complete format for reviews as career coaches will only review a statement one time per student.
- Career coaches will not edit statements but will provide comments on overall content and ways to strengthen the statement.
