Ohio University is changing to a semester academic calendar beginning with the Fall Semester of 2012

Biological Sciences faculty and staff are committed to working with enrolled students on the quarter calendar to ensure all can meet their graduation dates. Transition students will be fully informed of how to continue their academic progress and complete their degrees through the use of intensive advising and technology designed for this purpose.

Students who meet the expectations below should be able to graduate without delay regardless of the academic calendar transition:

  • maintain a full-time course load
  • earn passing grades and meet minimum grade requirements in courses
  • meet with their advisors and follow advising directives, and
  • satisfy graduation degree requirements specified in the catalog
  •

Every Biological Sciences student impacted by the calendar change will, through the normal process of meeting regularly with their advisor as well as additional consultation with the designated Q2S advisor, Ms. Ann LaComb, formulate a personalized plan outlining the course schedule needed to complete their degree. Below are linksĀ to the new Biological Sciences curriculum on the semester system. As always, if any student has a question about any of this, PLEASE contact your academic advisor, the department's Q2S advisor, Ms. Ann LaComb, or the department Curriculum Chair, Dr. Laura DiCaprio.
Regional campus advising will begin Winter 2012 and continue through Spring 2012.
