Sherrie Gradin, Director
Sherrie is the Director of the OUAWP, Director of the Center for Writing Excellence, and professor of English at Ohio University. Sherrie is also a past director of the Mississippi Writing Project and is excited to be part of bringing the National Writing Project to southeastern Ohio.

She teaches undergraduate courses in rhetoric, composition, and women and literature, and graduate seminars in rhetorical and composition theory, gender theory, and Writing Program Administration. She is administratively responsible for the writing across the curriculum program which includes required writing courses and the Student Writing Center, as well as faculty development regarding the implementation of writing into courses.

Don Dudding, Co-Director
Don Dudding is an instructor at Southern Local High School in Racine, Ohio. He received the Ohio Appalachian Center for Higher Education award for Outstanding Teacher of 2003. Don has taught at Southern High School for nearly 25 years, and he teaches freshman and senior English as well as speech, drama, journalism, and mass media. In addition to his classroom duties, he cowrites and directs the school play, coordinates publication of the school newspaper  (published online at http://theecho.info), and maintains the district's webpage -- all while trying to finish his Ph.D. at Ohio University in Composition and Rhetoric.

Debra Nickles, Co-Director

Debra Nickles is an instructor for Ohio University in both the English Department and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, teaching in Athens, Chillicothe, and Lancaster. Currently, she also coordinates Ohio University-Chillicothe’s Writing Center, which serves students at the regional campus.
