2010 Application for the Summer Institute [PDF Download] Seeking to improve the teaching of reading, writing, and thinking in all subjects at all levels, K-postsecondary, the Appalachian Writing Project invites southeastern Ohio teachers to participate in the third Summer Institute at Ohio University, Athens campus. You don’t have to be an English teacher—just a dedicated teacher who believes in the value of writing for students’ learning. To apply, you must have at least three years of teaching experience and currently teach in Athens, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Lawrence,Vinton, or Washington counties. The application is available for download or by calling the AWP at 740-593-2784. For priority consideration, postmark your application by March 5, 2010.
