Zofia Starzyk has been the Budget Manager for the Avionics Engineering Center since 1999. She manages and administers the fiscal performance of the externally funded research projects. Zofia administers all Center contracts and grant proposals to government and industry agencies; maintaining a liaison between the Center and all sponsors’ procurement and technical officers. She also performs the Human Resources activities for the Center.
Prior to becoming the Center’s Budget Manager, Zofia worked as an Account Clerk Specialist from 1993 through 1998. She served as a Center secretary from 1988 through 1993.
Zofia has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ohio University (1986) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Warsaw-Department of Laws and Administration: Warsaw, Poland, (1980). She also has a degree from the School of Business and Foreign Languages: Warsaw, Poland, (1973). She is proficient in Polish, Russian, and Latin.
Zofia has received the Russ College of Engineering and Technology Outstanding Administrative Employee Award, the Avionics Engineering Center Director’s Award for Outstanding Achievements, and has been a nominee of the Ohio University Outstanding Administrator Award.
