Trent Skidmore joined the Avionics Engineering Center in 1991 and has been involved in a variety of projects with the Global Positioning System (GPS). These have included the development of a coverage model for studying the availability and integrity of satellite-based navigation systems, a GPS radio-frequency interference (RFI) model, and spectrum issues associated with the RFI model and with the Differential GPS ground-to-aircraft datalink. Trent received his Ph.D. from Ohio University in 1991. He received a B.S. with honors in 1986 and an M.S. in 1988, both in electrical engineering, from Michigan Technological University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Institute of Navigation. He also participates in the FAA/NASA Joint University Program for Air Transportation Research.
