Tony Adami received a B.S. in Physics from Ohio University in 1993, and went on to earn an M.S. in Physics in 1995, also from Ohio University. After working in nuclear and particle physics for several years, he transferred to the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at O.U. and began pursuing his doctorate.

Tony joined the Avionics Center in the fall of 2001, and took on the role of assistant project manager for the NASA Second Generation Re-usable Launch Vehicle contract with Dr. J. Jim Zhu. He is now focusing his research on flexmode control for re-usable launch vehicles, and working to develop and apply time-varying notch filters using the PD-eigenvalue concept.

A recipient of the 1993 Distinguished Professor Scholarship , Tony also received the Jeanette Grasselli Award for undergraduate research in 1992. He was an instructor at the International Space University in Bremen, Germany in the summer of 2001, and presented papers on flexible structure control in Bologna, Italy and Weingarten, Germany during that summer. He is also the author or co-author of several papers on system identification techniques. Honor Society memberships include Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.
