Ohio University Flying Bobcats

Ohio University Flying BobcatsThe Flying Bobcats are a member of the National Intercollegiate Flying Association. We compete against collegiate aviators from all over the United States at the region III and national Safety and Flight Evaluation Conferences. The team competes with around 10-15 members, one to two coaches, and a faculty advisor. Ground events at the competition include computer accuracy, simulated comprehensive aircraft navigation, aircraft recognition, preflight inspection, ground trainer, IFR simulator, and crew resource management-line orientated flight training. The flying events include message drop, navigation, short field landing, and power-off landing. Other events include the certified flight instructor event, women’s and men’s achievement awards, safety award, and the Loening trophy. We thank you for visiting our website.

If you would like to get more information about Ohio University's Flying Bobcats please send an email to the George Armann (Flight Team Coach).
