The wonders of algae

Remember in high school biology class you learned about photosynthesis? That’s when plants use sunlight and carbon dioxide to create sugars. Photosynthesis is what inspired Ohio University researcher Ben Stuart to think about harnessing nature to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. His experiments led not only to an amazing way to reduce flue gases but also helped Stuart and his fellow researchers find a new energy source.
