More than reading

Director Jeff Fantine points out that the Ohio University Literacy Center is unique in its mission to foster professional development, research, and the study of literacy in language in the University as well as the surrounding region.
A key part of the Literacy Center, the Central/Southeast ABLE (Adult Basic and Literacy Education) Resource Center is one of only four such service hubs in the state funded by the Ohio Department of Education. In addition to the assistance it offers learners on the Athens campus, it also provides services to 32 other ABLE programs that help residents across 28 counties.

Find out more about how this College of Education program is addressing literacy issues that encompass reading, math, health, computers, and more in this video.
