Jean Andrews, MS ’05, spent the past year marketing and distributing “A Forest Returns,” a documentary she created to fulfill the thesis requirements of her master’s in environmental studies.
In the spring issue of Ohio Today, Andrews shared how Ora Anderson, the local storyteller featured in the documentary, inspired her work.
Here, the opening excerpt from the documentary has Anderson sharing a story about the birth of southeast Ohio’s Wayne National Forest. The documentary traces the forest’s growth after generations of clear-cutting and farming.
