Even if you don't learn to love it, you hafta learn to read it. |

| Sunday, September 7 | 1 - 2 pm | Community Connections, required for all new first-year students This session with the Residence Life staff will provide you with the basics about living in your residence hall and on your green. It will include everything from where to do laundry to negotiating roommate living agreements. Your RA will inform you of the location. |
| | 2:30 - 3:30 pm | President's Convocation, required for all new first-year students President Roderick J. McDavis, student leaders and other University officials will greet all new first-year students and induct you into the University community. Your RA will escort you to the Convocation Center. |
| | 3:30 - 4 pm | March through the College Gate, required for all new first-year students At the conclusion of the President's Convocation, it is tradition that students from the entering class march from the Convocation Center to the College Green and walk through the College Gate, symbolizing their entry into the University community. |
| | 4 - 6 pm | Student Involvement Fair, on the College Green (rainsite: Baker Ballroom) Representatives from over 200 campus organizations and activities will be on hand to tell you about their groups, answer your questions and sign you up. |
