Faculty Fellowship Proposal Guidelines
This proposal should contain a more complete description of the proposed work than is provided in the summary. Departments or schools may have specific requirements, or may choose to use the format listed below. A minimum of 750-1000 words should provide a reasonable degree of specificity. Proposals should rarely be longer than 1500 words. The following format includes information that is usually covered in a proposal. Remember to attach the chair's statement of how the department will staff the author's teaching load and other duties.
- Background information appropriate to the proposed work.
- Objectives of the author.
- Activities planned to achieve the objectives (described in some detail) with general timelines for each.
- Location and time schedule of activities.
- Relation of proposed activity to professional development and benefit to the department/college/university.
