
Captain Christopher H. Goertz - Recruiting Flight

Captain Goertz is the Recruiting Flight Commander, AFROTC
Detachment 650, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio.
Captain Goertz is a native of Archbold, OH. He enlisted in the Ohio
Air National Guard (OHANG) in 1998 as an Airman First Class. He
performed various jobs including installation patrolman, combat
arms instructor, fire team leader, and squad leader. After
graduating from Bowling Green State University, he commissioned as
a second lieutenant from Detachment 620, AFROTC. He was stationed
at Minot Air Force Base (AFB) as flight commander and convoy
commander, responsible for the security of more than 5.5 billion
dollars in critical nuclear resources. While stationed at Minot
AFB, Capt Goertz deployed to Ali Al-Salem Air Base (AB) in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, where he performed flight commander duties in protecting over 3.2 billion dollars in war fighting assets. His last duty station was Kunsan AB where he was assigned as the section commander for a squadron of over 280 security forces.
