Lieutenant Colonel Brian A. Brown- Detachment Commander


Lieutenant Colonel Brian A. Brown is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 650, and Professor of Aerospace Studies at Ohio University, Athens, OH. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, training and preparing students for commissioning into the Air Force as second lieutenants.

Lieutenant Colonel Brown was commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program in November, 1989 and entered active duty in October, 1990. He has experience at the Squadron, Center, and Numbered Air Force and Combatant Command level. Additionally, he directly supported USCENTCOM operational planning for Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, as well as deployed to support Operation Enduring Freedom and the Georgian Humanitarian Relief Mission. Lieutenant Colonel Brown is married to the former Susan McLaughlin of Beaver, Pennsylvania. They have three daughters.
